Overview

The Medical Entomology Laboratory is a specialized research facility for studying insects of medical importance, particularly mosquitoes, supporting work in vector biology and control. It houses a dedicated RNA laboratory for molecular studies, a freezing room for secure storage of samples and reagents, and a controlled colony room for maintaining mosquito cultures.

Equipped with advanced microscopes, insect rearing and bioassay systems, cold storage, centrifuges, incubators, and other modern research instruments, the laboratory provides a strong platform for undergraduate and postgraduate training and research in medical and public health entomology.
